Facilitated Discussion Process for Workplace Grievances

Objective: To explore the role and implementation of Facilitated Discussion process in workplace grievance management within a healthcare setting. Methods: This is qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with implementers, developers participants involved Discussions which were recorded, transcribed verbatim analysed for key themes thematic analysis techniques. No limit was placed on number participants, included staff working human resource department as well administrative clinical who had engaged facilitated discussion process. Results: Participants mostly viewed meritorious associated restorative justice principles. However, facility faced barriers to wider adoption due lack certainty about roles processes, limited training, availability perceived risk. Adoption principles skills across organization identified necessary effective implementation. The findings suggested that training facilitators promoting benefits all levels could improve Conclusions: nature discussions requires resources promote awareness trust process, skilled defined procedures use large facilities.
